FAQ's Regarding D-Rat, Supervisor, Supervisor Max, Roof Cat

What is the best bait to use?

We use crunchy peanut butter with a drop of vanilla essence for our rodent traps, you might have got a sample if you have purchased our traps. Add 3-4 capfuls to a standard 350-400mg pot and stir thoroughly. The cheap Peanut butter is good, due to its consistency and preservatives which make it last longer. Easy as that.

How do I use the sensitivity adjuster?

The little red lever on the side of the trap is very important in the setting and disarming process. it also enables you to put our trap into 'Mouse Mode' so you can catch both Rats and Mice in the same trap.

My Supervisor Max or Supervisor is not latching?

After many repeated fires we have noticed that the mechanism can compress and in time and stop latching, (Supervisor and super max products only) luckily it is a quick easy fix. If it is not this then your best to get in touch with our technical team and contact us on sales@envirotools.co.nz.

FAQ's Regarding Flipping Timmy Possum Trap

What is the best bait to use?

When you are checking/resetting your traps on a regularly basis (i.e. weekly) we usually bait our possum traps with a strong scented apple, a small 1/8th piece is enough! If you are leaving your traps set for longer you can use our bite tab with a past type lure.

See video below:

Pigs are pulling on the possums causing the top box to decouple off the base?

Check traps more regularly - pigs will wait for possums to decompose before pulling on them.
Mount you traps vertically and high on the tree/post - we recommend chest height but you can put higher if you are having these issues - envisage a pig on its hind legs plus a possum length, and aim for more than that.
If that's not working you can try this pig proof modification.
